Everything you need to know about the Gosforth Beer Festival 2023

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets are now on sale. Tickets cost £8 earlybird (+ 0.50p booking fee) and £10 standard ( + 0.50p booking fee) and include entry, an event glass, a beer guide and wristband for the day. Children under 18 are free of charge but must have a ticket and attend with an adult.

How much will the beers cost?

Beer tokens will be available to purchase on site during the 2 day festival.  Each token is worth £1 which you can use towards food or drinks. Drinks prices will vary depending on strength.

 

Will there be food available?

We are very excited to have fresh, bold street food on offer both Friday and Saturday, prepared by Caps Off. More information on their brilliant scran coming soon!

We will also have an ice cream van on site on Saturday.

 

Where do I buy tokens?

All food and drinks must be purchased with tokens. Tokens can be purchased at the token stand near the entrance to the beer festival. Cash and debit or credit card payments are accepted.

Will there be entertainment?

Yes, there will be a number of bands playing over the afternoon and evening on both days to get your toes tapping and the beer flowing!

Friday:

  • 6-8pm - 3rd Stage Red

  • 8-10pm - Percy and the Piglets

Saturday:

  • 4-6pm - Lou Coel

  • 6-7pm - Raiders

  • 7-8pm - Jamie and Georgie

  • 8-10pm - The Graduates

What time does the Beer Festival start/end?

The event will open at 4:30 pm on Friday 11th August and 1:00 pm on Saturday 12th August. Last orders will be at 10:15 pm on both evenings. GRFC wish to be considerate to our local residents so all guests must have left the event by 11:00 pm.

 

Can I bring my children?

Yes, all children are welcome at the festival. A free ticket must be purchased with an accompanying adult ticket.  

Challenge 25: If you are lucky enough to look under 25, please be prepared to show proof of age. You must be age 18 or over to buy alcohol at the Beer Festival.  

 

Can I bring my dog?

Your dog is welcome, but it must be on a lead at all times, must not enter the food area or on the rugby pitches at any time.

 

Can I bring my own chairs/picnic?

Some seating will be available as well as some delicious street food. Picnics with soft drinks, rugs and seating are all allowed outside of the marquees, however we ask that you don't bring your own alcohol or any glass bottles.

 

Will there be toilet facilities?

Yes - ladies, gents and disabled toilets will all be provided. Baby change facilities will be available at the club house on request.

 

How do I buy tickets?

All tickets are available here.

 

Can I buy tickets on the door?

Yes - tickets will be available on the door subject to availability.

 

Are tickets refundable?

There is no admission without a ticket and tickets are non-refundable.

If the event needs to be cancelled on either day, we will then issue face value refunds to all customers for the day in question.

 

Will other drinks be available?

As well as a great range of beers, we will have ciders, lager, prosecco and gin for you to enjoy. Soft drinks will also be available. All drinks and food will be purchased using tokens.

 

Is there an option to camp? 

No - camping is not allowed at this event.

 

Where is the Beer Festival based?

You will find us on Broadway West, Gosforth, NE3 2HY.  There are two metro stations close by within a 10 minute walk. Regent Centre and Wansbeck Road.

 

What happens to my rubbish? 

It would be great if you could use the bins on site to dispose of any rubbish. 

 

Is my ticket valid for the whole weekend or just the Friday or Saturday? 

Tickets are available to purchase for both the Friday and Saturday. For the enthusiastic beer drinkers a single ticket must be purchased per day. Friday tickets are not transferable to Saturday.

  

Will there be disabled access/facilities?

Yes the site is accessible and accessible toilets will be available on both days.

Will parking be available?

Yes, limited parking will be available on site. We want you to enjoy your day and we therefore promote using public transport and the excellent services of Blueline Taxis.
